Extensive corporate experience at consultancy and management on a board level from start-up to IPO’s on AIM, HK & TSX, to exploration and production, from negotiating Purchasing Agreements to JV’s, with a detailed understanding of the legal framework in various countries for exploration and mining and managing country risk etc.

Scythian Mining Group is very conscious that the Scythian name brings a responsibility of firstly a love for gold and it's timeless beauty as well as a love for nature, and preserving both is fundamental to the SMG business strategies.

These strategies include:

1.0 SMG is committed to “Clean Mining” (no cyanide) (https://www.cleanmining.co) as well as “Emissions Free Mining” using Certified Emission Reductions, or EFEC’s, being aware that SMG’s business depends solely on the earth, thus we must in turn give back to the earth,
2.0 SMG focuses on purchasing and discovering TAG (Thermal Aureole Gold) style deposits in Kazakhstan because they present a very simple metallurgy and mining methods, resulting in low OpEx and CapEx costs,
3.0 Each of Kokkus & Aktas deposits have 70-74% Au recovery from the oxide zone, 47% Au recovery in the transitional ore using simple gravity circuit-Knelson Concentrators.
4.0 Once the oxide ore is mined, SMG will switch to tank leaching using Clean Mining Technology solutions instead of cyanide,
5.0 These Au projects are the cash generator engine to drive a pipeline of projects to be developed by SMG’s knowledge of over 25 years on the ground in Central Asia.
