Johan joined Open Mineral during its recent, highly successful Series-C round of funding. He leads ESG business and product development initiatives for the company. Johan started his career as a geological engineer in Zambia's gemstone mining industry, moving on to China to create two software companies with a team of talented Chinese and Western individuals before returning to London as a mining equities analyst prior to joining Open Mineral. Johan graduated from the University of Cape Town's School of Environmental Science and holds an MSc in Engineering Geology. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
